Jimmy Dale Berg, 63, of Milan, passed away following a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at his home.  A memorial service for Jimmy will be 10:00 a.m. Sunday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7 ^th Ave., Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 12 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made directly to UnityPoint Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Jimmy was born on September 21, 1954 in Rock Island, the son of Harry Emil and Mary Elizabeth (Armstrong) Berg.  After high school, Jimmy worked for John Deere, Crouse Cartage Co. and USF Holland as a truck driver.  He retired due to illness in 2015.  He greatly enjoyed all sorts of outdoor activities, traveling and riding motorcycles.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Christy (Chad) Pfeifle, DeWitt; sons, Casey (Laurel) Berg, Davenport and Jim Berg, DeWitt; grandchildren, Grace and Sam Pfeifle and Hunter and Gage Berg; sisters, Mary Ann (Jesse) Rose, Everton, AR; Donna (Jerry) Stanley, Rock Island and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Terry Berg and a sister in infancy.
