Joan Kester, 83, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday March 7, 2023 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00am Saturday Match 11, 2023 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 9:00am to service time at church. All are welcome to attend a funeral lunch following services at Luli's Restaurant, 1213 10th Ave W, Milan. Inurnment will be at 2:00pm Monday, March 15, 2023 at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Those wishing to attend can meet at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave Rock Island at 1:30pm Monday.   Memorials may be left to the St. Pius Church Food Pantry.

Joan was born on October 12, 1939 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the daughter of Chester Wysocki and Catherine Weisner. She married Jack S. Kester on February 20, 1971 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2022.

Joan had been a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends and boating with her family. Joan was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock island.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Theresa Boyd, Clayton Brendal and Douglas Kester; grandchildren, Zachary, Brockton and Chase; brothers, Jim and Rich Wysocki.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack and parents, Chester and Catherine.
