Joan "Joanie" L. Maston, 67, of Rock Island, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at her residence.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 2PM to 6PM on March 12th at The Milan legion.  Memorials may be made to the family and would be greatly appreciated.

Joanie was born on July 24, 1955, in Rock Island, the daughter of William and Doris (Snyder) Drovesky.    In her younger years she enjoyed life to the fullest as SIS of the reapers. Went through hell and back raising a son while going to college for an associate's degree while working at Bonnett's Wholesale Florist Inc.  Joanie loved her flowers, Flying pigs, gardening, cooking for family and friends, camping, canning, and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.  Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.  She will be remembered for taking at least 4 hours to do a sink full of dishes and loving candles more than anyone ever could.

Joanie is survived by her longtime partner in crime and love of her life, James Anderson; son, Lief (Nicole) Maston; grandchildren, Erik, Kylee, Makynzy, Serenity, Dayton, and Bentley; and many other friends and family.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Steve Drovesky. Along with her beloved dog Rudy and cat Homer.
