JoAnn S. Koberstein, 82, of Rock Island, passed away Friday March 16, 2018 at St. Anthony's Continuing Care Center, Rock Island.

Private burial will be at a later date.

JoAnn was born on August 23, 1935 in Rock Island, the daughter of Willis and Elnora (Findley) Clayton. She married Wayne Koberstein on December 12, 1953. Mrs. Koberstein had been employed at the former Franciscan Hospital in the business office.

Survivors include her sons, Joseph (Beth) Koberstein, Kevin Koberstein, Bradley (Miriam) Koberstein, all of Rock Island; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Jim Reed, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; sons, Terry Koberstein, Shannon Koberstein, daughter in law, Abbey Koberstein, granddaughters, Ashley and Stephanie, sisters, Darlene Ream and Sharon VanDeGenachte and brother Tom Reed.
