Joe Wheatcroft, age 75, passed away on February 4, 2026. Joe was born in Quinter, KS to Francis and Bernitta (Hargitt) Wheatcroft. 

In Joe's younger years he loved to read and take trips on his motorcycle, and he had a lifelong passion for model trains. He also took a great interest in Native American history and current affairs. Joe worked for Mid-American Energy, retiring after 25 years.

Joe is survived by his sister, Lucille Benton and her children; nephew, Chester Blender; and close friends, Jerry and Lynette Kennedy. He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Heather and Steven; and siblings, Janice, Royce, and Phil.

Per Joe's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and no services will be held at this time. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Dighton Cemetery in Dighton, KS. Memories and condolences may be shared with his loved ones at www.wheelanpressly.com.
