John C. Argo, 83, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022, Heinz Manor, Durant, IA.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, is assisting the family with arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held at Argo Management Group, 2108 E 2nd St. Coal Valley, Illinois, November 20 from 2-4PM.

John was born on September 30, 1939, in Hinsdale, IL, the son of Clyde and Helen (Willett) Argo.  He married Delores Mefford on January 6, 1979 in Tracy, IA.  John worked as a truck driver for over 30 years, and was very active in Teamsters.  John was an avid hunter and woodworker.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

John is survived by his children, Wade (Denise) Argo and Lisa Argo; grandchildren, Caleb Argo, Nathaniel Argo, and Melissa Wells; great grandchildren, Asia Wells, Quinlan Wells, Connor Argo, Ella Argo, and Annalyse Argo; great-great grandson, Khyree Wells; and sisters, Claudia Collis and Derriel Printy.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores; parents; son, Wyatt Argo; and sisters, Barbara Mitchum and Geraldine Humphrey.
