John G. Chapman, 67, of Geneseo, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at his residence.

A private graveside service will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island.

John was born September 6, 1953, in Hamilton, CA, son of Jack and Janis (Howell) Chapman.  He was a purchasing agent for McLaughlin Body Shop.  John was an avid Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth (Rusty) Lord; granddaughter, Charlotte Lord; stepchildren, Bill Chapman, Amber and Caleb Westad; brother, Joel (Christine) Chapman; nephews, Aaron (Anna) and Zachary (Sierra Wray) Chapman; and ex-wife, Patty Chapman.
