John W. Each Jr., 93, of Rock Island, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2024, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

John was born September 28, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, to John W. Sr. and Lillian F. (White) Each. He graduated from Bowen High School in 1948. John served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Capricornus, AKA-57 and was honorably discharged in 1955. He worked in engineering at Eagle Food Warehouse in Milan and retired in 1995. John was a longtime member of Trio Lodge No. 57 A.F. & A.M. He was a former member of South Park Presbyterian Church in Rock Island. John enjoyed boating on his boat "To 'EACH' His Own" on the Mississippi River. John and Barb enjoyed wintering in Punta Gorda, Florida.

Those left to honor John's memory include his significant other, Barbara Dillingham, Rock Island; 3 sons, John W. Each III (Rebecca), Ankeny, IA, Wayne D. Each (Gayle), Rock Island, and David S. Each (Cherie), Palatine, IL; 4 grandsons, Mike (Amanda), Jacob (Marci), Justan (Becky), and Kyle; 8 great-grandchildren; Barbara's family: children, Debra Johnston (Gordon) and Lee Dillingham; 2 grandchildren, Ryan (Lindsey) and Kyle (Jessica); 4 great-grandchildren; special nephew, Robert Vedral; bonus brother, Doug Bateman; and bonus son, Steve Selliers.

John was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Lois Vedral Bult.
