John C. Noel, 80, of Milan, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Aperion Health Care Center, East Moline.  Cremation rites have been accorded and no services are planned.  Memorials may be to the family in care of John's daughter, Deborah Noel.

John Christoper Noel was born on December 25, 1936 at home in Bettendorf, Iowa, a son of Francis and Ellen Boland Noel.  He graduated from high school and served his country in the U.S. Army.  John married Marilyn Randall later in life, she preceded him in death on March 23, 1992.  John worked as an assembler at Case IH, he retired following 20 + years of service.  John enjoyed fishing, hunting, working with tools and gardening.

Survivors include his children, Deborah Noel, Salina, KS; Roger Noel, Canton, KS and Ronald Noel, Abilene, KS; great granddaughter, Elisha Noel; siblings, Donna Langtimn, Gerald Noel, Richard Noel, Carol Moore, Charlene Twigg, Mary Noel-Meade and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, his parents, Francis and Ellen; siblings, Patricia, Joseph and James Noel and his longtime girlfriend, Darlene Johnson
