John "Jack" R. Spring, 91, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 at UnityPoint Health – Trinity, Rock Island.  Cremation rites were accorded.  There will be no services.

Jack was born on October 25, 1928 in Davenport, Iowa, a son of John and Katherine Mizer Spring.

Jack retired from American Air Filter after many years.  He instantly began to work for DePaepe's Gym and retired from there when DePaepes changed hands in 2017.

Jack took care of his mother, "Ma" until her death at 101 years of age.  During those years, Jack and Ma attended the Masters for over 30 years.  Jack golfed and was a good bowler and no matter what league he bowled in, he eventually became the secretary.  Jack also enjoyed a good book or watching a good DVD series.

Those left to remember Jack are many good friends he worked with and knew through his many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
