John "Pat" Stromberg, 91, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday March 16, 2024 at his home.

Private services will be at a later date.

Pat was born on June 13, 1932 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Bernard and Mary Ellen (Eldridge) Stromberg. Mr. Stromberg was a United States Air Force Veteran having served during the Korean War. Pat married the love of his life, Jane Schroeder on August 16, 1958 in Davenport.

Mr. Stromberg had been employed at the Rock Island Arsenal and later retired from the Corps of Engineers.

Pat was a member of the Lake Davenport Boat Club. He loved spending time with his family, listening to music and relaxing while smoking his pipe.

Survivors include his daughters, Susan Stromberg and Sandy Fischer, both of Rock Island, grandson, Chris Fischer, Rock Island and his sister, RuthAnn Gross, Boulder, Colorado.

Pat was preceded in death by his wife, Jane; son, James "Jim" Stromberg and his parents, Bernard and Mary Ellen Stromberg.
