Johnnie B. Dixon, 82, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Tuesday May 14, 2024 at his home.

A service to celebrate Johnnie's life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday May 25, 2024 at Life Church, 842 16th Ave, East Moline, IL.  Reverend Corey Parker will officiate. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM to service time.

Johnnie was born April 9, 1942, in Greenville, Alabama, the son of Buddy Lee and Maudel (McKinnon) Dixon.

Mr. Dixon had been employed at the former Roadway Express for several years. He had fought with health issues in later years and had been on dialysis for the last 21 years.

Johnnie loved spending time with his children and large extended group of family and friends. He also enjoyed playing at the casino, bowling, dancing and being a active member of the East Moline Elks Club.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Roman Jennings, Keith Jennings, Sean Jennings, Sandra Morrison, George Morrison, Felicia Dixon, Alicia Dixon, LaCanna Dixon, LaShanna Dixon, Egypt Salizar, Jamaya Yancy, Arrian Phillips, Jennie Moody, Bobby Thompson; host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; special cousins, Johnnie Mae, Beverly Hall, Charles Thompson, Tina Johnson; special friends, Theresa Johnson, Carl Johnson and Keith Williams.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Gae (Sanders) Dixon; parents, Buddy Lee and Maudel; daughters, Valerie, Darlene and Maria.
