Johnny Michael Parker was born December 25, 1972 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the only child of His parents John Parker Jr. and Bettye L. Parker.  Known to most by his middle name "Mike". He grew up in the Mechanicsville and Vine City area of Atlanta. He worked most recently for Gilcrest Jewett Lumber in Waukee, Iowa. Mike was the ultimate hustler and throughout his life he held many jobs from working for the City of Atlanta to car dealerships in Davenport Iowa. One job in particular was called the Beautiful restaurant in Atlanta where he developed his love for cooking. He was an excellent cook.

Mike loved sports and was a lifelong sports fan of Georgia sports teams such as the Atlanta Falcons, Braves and Hawks and the University of Georgia football team. He enjoyed traveling, good food, music and spending time with family and friends. He had impeccable swagger, always dressed sharp combined with his good looks, he was attractive to many women.

Mike was known for his infectious smile, laughter, charm and personality. While Mike did not belong to a church, he was a praying man and prayed to God every morning before starting his day.

Although he grew up in Atlanta, he also called Des Moines, IA, and the Quad Cities of Illinois and Iowa home, where he passed as a legend.

He is Survived by his 9 Children; Michael Parker (Des Moines, IA), Laura Philips (Atlanta, GA), Mr.& Ms. Jakoby (Brianna) Parker (Atlanta, GA), Jatore Price (Atlanta, GA), Joshua Price (Davenport, IA), Tyler Parker (Atlanta, Ga), Tatum Parker (Atlanta, GA), Dajae Angel (Atlanta, GA) and Saivion Stevenson (Louisville, KY).

16 grandchildren; (Laura) Lauren Phillips, Kentez Andrews, Zoey Phillips, Darenzo Holsey, Jarmael Thornton, (Jakoby) Malaysia Parker, Jakayla Parker, Maleah Deese, Jakoby Parker Jr., (Dajae) Kiyah Marie Angel Talley, (Michael) Harmoney Parker, Jayceon Parker, (Tyler) Khloe Parker, (Tatum) Taylar Parker, Skylar Parker and bonus granddaughter, Legacee Parker.

From a life lived with his once significant other, Regina Muskeyvalley, he leaves behind his bonus children, Jaed Muskeyvalley, Reggie Walton and Jasmine Anderson.

From a life lived with his once significant other, Dalisa Hearn, he leaves behind his bonus children, Joshua "lil josh" Luten and Asianna Hearn.

From a life lived with his once fiancée, Angela Bates, he leaves behind bonus children, Antwan Watson and Za'mauri Bates.

And so many other special friends and bonus children, including Keke, Raven, Omar & Elijah. He also leaves behind a wealth of friends and many cousins, including Jerry Caldwell, Marilyn & Regina Garrett and more extended family of Atlanta, Georgia.

He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny; son, Marcus Parker; uncle, Leroy Garrett; his mother, Betty, and uncle, Nelson Garrett.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Memorials may be left in care of the family.
