Joseph C. "Joe" Hall, 80, of Milan, IL, passed away Saturday May 9, 2015 at Unity Point-Trinity, Rock Island.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Interment will be at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Moline. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated later.
Joseph was born May 11, 1934 in New Madrid, MO, a son of Obie P. and Wanda O. (Morgan) Hall. He married Donna Kay Sorensen on June 15, 1957 in Moline.
Joe was employed for 28 years with American Air Filter. Following their closing, he worked at Kale Company Heating and Air Conditioning.
In earlier years, Joe served in the Navy Reserves. He attended Faith Evangelical Free Church, Moline, and was a member of East Moline Lodge 969, A.F. & A.M.
Joe enjoyed wintering in Florida with Donna, visiting with friends in the "Coffee Group" at the Milan McDonalds, working on cars and motorcycles, and listening to gospel and bluegrass music.
He will be fondly remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife, Donna, of Milan; children (and spouses), Beretta (Tom) Kale, Milan, Joseph (Michelle) Hall, Illinois City, IL, and Jerry (Carolyn) Hall, Plainfield, IL; grandchildren, Erica (Kevin) Waeyaert, Jamie Kale, Ashley Hall, Danielle Hall, Jeri Hall, Jordan Hall, Tony Hall, Jacob Hall, and Madilyn Hall; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Gabbie, Brooklyn, and Nathan; several nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Joe Staub, Taylor Ridge, IL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Chuck and Toni Sorensen, Colfax, WI; sister-in-law Mary Lance, Castle Rock, CO; and sister-in-law, Marlene Sorensen, Kewanee, IL.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Titus Hall; and two sisters, Alice Washburn and Naomi Hall.
