Joseph A. Kruckenberg, 40, of Rock Island, died Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at UnityPoint Health - Trinity, Rock Island.  Cremation rites were accorded.  A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island.  Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will be private at a later date.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Joseph was born in Silvis, Illinois on January 13, 1977, a son of Lynden B. and Louisa A. McVey Kruckenberg.

Joseph had currently just started working for Bellota Agrisolutions and Tools in Milan.

Joseph was always the first one to be there to help someone out if needed.  He loved sports, animals, music, cooking and playing video games.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Lynden and Geri Kruckenberg, Rock Island; brothers, Brandon, Sam and Josh Kruckenberg; grandmothers, Donna Kruckenberg and Gloria Gadomski; special friends, Jamie Winterbottom and Jessie Munn; and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, grandfathers, Louis McVey, Allen Kruckenberg and Albert Gadomski; and infant sisters, Gerilyn and Victoria.
