Joseph Andrew Major Jr., 44, of East Moline, formerly of Davenport, passed away Tuesday April 7, 2026 at UP Trinity, Rock Island.

Funeral services will be 12:00PM Friday April 17, 2026 at New Life Apostolic Church, 218 35th Avenue, East Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.

Joseph was born on November 12, 1981 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Joseph A. Major Sr. and Leatrice Brown. He married Tonya Fulton in 2008, in Davenport, Iowa.

Joseph loved spending time with his family and friends, bowling, shooting pool and playing video games.

Survivors include his wife, Tonya; father, Joseph Sr. (Erica Smith); children, Amir Foster-Thompson, Paris Major, Christopher Foster, Joseph Major III, Jatayshia Major, Jamiah Hollingshed, Zaniyah Anguiano and Zyire Major; siblings, Twanica House, Christina House and Joyce Major; and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Leatrice; brother, Lyndell; his grandparents Clayton and Dorothy Vesey.
