Josephine A. Leingang, 75, of Milan, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at UnityPoint Health - Trinity, Rock Island. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 4th, at Wheelan - Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3rd, at Wheelan - Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of the family.
Josephine A. Johnson was born on October 27, 1939 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Hugh and Margaret (Thuenen) Johnson. She married Thomas Leingang in February of 1965 in Davenport. She worked as an Office Manager at Kraft Foods in Davenport and later in Kansas City. She retired from Kraft in 1989 after 33 years of service.
Josephine loved her family and took great pleasure in attending all of her grandchildren's sporting events. She also enjoyed going on car rides; especially in the rain at night and around Christmas.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Thomas; children, Thomas, Jr. (Deanne), Sherrard, Susan (Bradley) Titus, Richmond, KY, Michael (Jill), Sherrard and David (Carol), Sherrard; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; twin brother, Joseph (Karen) Johnson; along with her dumplings, several nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ida May Griffin and a brother, Elmer Johnson
