Joshua J. Erickson, 40, of Moline, died Saturday, January 9, 2016

Funeral services will be 11 am Friday at All Saints Episcopal Church, Moline. Burial is at Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Memorials may be given to the family to benefit Josh's children.

Joshua James Erickson was born May 6, 1975 in Davenport, the son of Bob and Sue Barton Erickson.

Josh loved spending time with his children, hosting get-togethers and bonfires with family and friends, playing practical jokes, golfing, fishing, biking, and paintball. He also loved the Star Wars Trilogy, J. R. R. Tolkien and Clive Cussler novels and anything historical. Josh enjoyed sports and was an excellent soccer player, having participated from the time he was six through high school.

Survivors include the love of his life, Carrie Kolodji, Moline; children, Bailey Elise Erickson and Finn Odin Erickson, Moline; parents, Bob and Sue Erickson, East Moline, formerly of Moline; sister and brother-in-law , Lyndsay and Jeff Buckley and their son, Carter, Colona; grandmother, Margaret Erickson, Moline; Carrie's family, Sean (Jenny) Kolodji, April Kolodji, Adam (Katie) Kolodji and Kyle Kolodji; as well as several beloved aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kermit Erickson, Reverend James P. Barton and Jean Barton.
