Joshua E. Lofquist, 37, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport.

Visitation is from 1 to 5 Saturday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. There will be a time of sharing at 3:30. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to the Hope Lodge in Iowa City.

Joshua Edward Lofquist was born Jan. 17, 1978 in Rock Island, a son of William and Robin Garrett Lofquist. He married Hollie L. Katzenburger on June 27, 2015 in East Moline.

Josh graduated from Rockridge High School. As a child, he had been active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He had most recently worked as a truck driver for Liqui-Grow in Eldridge.

Josh enjoyed racing, restoring cars, especially his vintage Mustang which he recently drove down the strip in Cordova, farming, bonfires and animals. He was especially proud of his Celtic ancestry and loved his dog, Owen and cat, Bubba J.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Hollie; mother, Robin (Joe) Weeks, Ellensburg, Wash.; father, Bill Lofquist, Ankeny, Iowa; brother, Jason Lofquist (Angie Webster) Blue Grass, Iowa; grandparents, Edward and Barbara Garrett, Milan; several nieces and nephews including, Mason Webster and Logan Arnold; aunts, uncles; and many dear friends.

Josh's credo was to: "Never give up, Even when it gets rough and gets you down, Never give up. Keep fighting! Where there's a will, there's a way".

A memorial benefit will be hosted by Josh's friends on Nov. 21 from 1 to 5 pm at the QCCA Expo Center in Rock Island. All are invited.
