Joyce Ann (Jennings) Mack, 85, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026, at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 24, 2026, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Avenue, Rock Island, with the Recitation of the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. The family requests that those in attendance wear casual or Caribbean attire. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan, Illinois, or First Responders’ Veterinary Network (FRVN.org)
Joyce was born on December 23, 1940, in Fall River, Massachusetts, a daughter of Harry and Dorothy G. (Cook) Jennings. She graduated from Ankara American High School (DoD Dependents School), Ankara, Turkey. Joyce resided in Okinawa, Japan, in the early 1960s. Joyce married Louis William Mack on May 23, 1967, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rock Island. She initially worked at John Deere Plow, Rock Island County, Brevard County School District (1980s), and most recently as a Mary Kay Representative from 1986 to 2026. Joyce was a member of the Garden Club, Altar and Rosary Society, and QC Parrot Club. She enjoyed traveling, decorating, live music, and dancing.
Those left to cherish Joyce’s memory include her husband of 58 years, Louis; son, Leigh J. Mack; and five grandchildren. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.
