Joyce E. Moss, 94, formerly of Rock Island, passed away Thursday September 24, 2026 at Allure of the Quad Cities.

Memorial services will be 11:00am, Tuesday September 29, 2026 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. The family will greet friends from 10:00am to service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to Wounded Warriors.

Joyce was born on December 14, 1931 in Rockford, Illinois the daughter of Merle and Viola (Roland) Pearson. She married James Moss, they later divorced.

Joyce had been employed at KJWW Engineering, Rock Island for over 20 years before retiring.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, she was most proud to be a grandmother and great grandmother, loved bowling and crafting.

Survivors include her son, Mark Moss, East Moline; grandchildren, John (Mia) Moss, Mason Moss; great grandchildren, Kadence, Levi, Elli and Rowan; nephew, Nick (Liz) Pearson; cousins, Christine (Jeff) Wilkins, Cathy (Dudley) Rifley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Viola; brother, Neil Pearson; nephew, Niel Pearson Jr and niece, Julie Pearson.
