Joyce A. White, 75, of Aurora, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Trinity Rock Island.Memorial services will be held at a later date in Aurora. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Joyce Poss was born Feb. 25, 1939 in Aurora, a daughter of Joseph and Ruth Kirk Poss. She graduated from West Aurora High School. Joyce had worked at Nabisco which later became Post and now Kraft Foods. She was a master gardener and had worked at Schaefer's Greenhouse, Montgomery.

Joyce enjoyed going into the city to attend events and she loved gardening, fishing and animals. She had a passion for life and was a friend to many in the East side community.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Shelley and Thomas Benson, Sugar Grove and Carmen and Michael Gauger, Aurora; grandchildren, Collin Benson and Trevor and Payton Gauger; and a sister, Linda Reinert. She was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Napier and brother, Robert Poss.
