Judee (Schroeder) Schuch, 78, of Milan, passed away Friday, October 30, 2026, at UP Trinity, Rock Island.

Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 201 East 4th Avenue, Milan is handling her cremation. Memorials in her name can be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Clinic, 724 – 2nd Avenue W., Milan, IL 61264.

Judee was born July 10, 1948, to Howard and Bernice (Bateman) Schroeder. She was the middle child with two brothers, Jimmy and Jay, who were all raised in Milan. She graduated from Rock Island High School and Black Hawk College as a Nurse. She worked at St. Anthony’s Franciscan and Illini Hospital for 17 ½ years. In between nursing, she had a very enjoyable job taking care of racehorses.

Judee made friends quickly and formed many long-lasting relationships wherever she went. Always fun to be around, she’s hoping everyone remembers the laughs and good times they had with her. She loved growing up in Milan and was still very close to a group of the Milan girls and a group of friends she worked with at St. Anthony’s and Franciscan Hospitals.

Judee was very proud of her two kids, Shelly Schuch of Moline and Cody Schroeder of Coyne Center.

She is survived by her children, Shelly and Cody; brother, Jay and his wife Linda and their son, Ian from Florida; nephew, Mike Schroeder from California and niece, Sarah Schroeder and her kids, Terrion and Terriyah from Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Bernice, brother, Jimmy and grandparents, John and Rose Bateman and Walter and Ethel Schroeder.
