Judy was born on May 29, 1935, to Mildred (Fitzgerald) and George Anderson, in Decatur, IL. She graduated from Alleman High School. She married Allen J. DePorter on October 23, 1954, and they celebrated over 60 years of life together, on the farm they loved. She was a lifelong member of St. Ambrose and then St. Maria Goretti, Catholic Churches. Judy gave much of her life to Cursillo. She was a trustee of Rural Township for over 35 years.

She was a woman of tremendous faith, the guiding light and anchor of her family, a patriot, and a terrific secret-keeper! Judy shared her wisdom, time, talents and joy with her parish, her community and anyone who drove onto her farm. Only God knows how many people she led to Him. Judy's calling card was often a homemade fruit pie!
