Obituary

Judith "Judy" Anne Trevino, 78, of Tiffin, Iowa, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Knox Chapel of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 2106 7th Avenue, Rock Island, Illinois .

Judy was born on January 17, 1947, in Davenport, Iowa, to Robert and Lois (Whitaker) Glasgow. She grew up in a lively household filled with love, laughter, and strong family values that shaped who she became. A proud graduate of West High School, Judy entered the workforce soon after and began what would become a long and dedicated career at Oscar Mayer. Over more than 30 years, she worked her way up through the shipping department and eventually retired as a respected crew leader in 2007. Her work ethic, dependability, and sense of humor earned her the respect and friendship of countless coworkers who became like family.

On July 15, 1972, she married Francisco Trevino, and together they built a family that became the center of Judy's life.

Judy's greatest joy came from her family. She loved nothing more than being surrounded by her children and grandchildren—cheering them on at games, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying a Sunday dinner together. Her home was always open, her kitchen always warm, and no one ever left hungry. Judy's famous tamales were a family favorite and a staple of every gathering. She had a quick wit, a generous heart, and a laugh that could light up a room. Her presence brought comfort, her cooking brought everyone together, and her love held the family close through every season of life.

She found joy in simple pleasures—playing bingo or cards, trying her luck at the casino, and spending quiet evenings with her family. She had a deep love for animals, especially her devoted dogs Zena and Zeke, who rarely left her side. Judy adored her pets and treated them as family. We know she is now joyfully reunited with her beloved dogs Killer, Howie, Chica Diaz, Zeus, and Chance, who were surely waiting to greet her in Heaven.

Judy will be remembered for her strength, humor, compassion, and the way she loved without limits.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Jenni Easler, Veronica (Chasen) Getty, Francesca (Terry) Arp, Miguel (Megan) Trevino, Aurelio (Manette) Trevino, and Lee (Lisa) Trevino; her grandchildren: Jacoby (Kristina) Getty, Sean Easler (Collin Rogers), Alexis Trevino, Zach Trevino, Matthew Easler (Hannah Brandt), Remy Anderson, Kamryn Trevino, Cody Trevino, Carter Trevino, and Frankie Trevino; and great-grandchildren: Jacoby Getty Jr., Ava Getty, and Mila Getty.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Francisco; her brother, Daniel Cook; and her sisters, Helen Cook and Susan Villerial.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the American Cancer Society, or the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center—causes close to her heart.
