Judith Gromoll, 79, a life-long resident

of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away

on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 in

Home assisted the family with

arrangements, and a private funeral

was held on Friday, June 25, with

burial at Chippiannock Cemetery in

Rock Island, Illinois.

Judith Karen Wells was born on

January 7, 1942 in Rock Island, Illinois,

to Beatrice Lucille (Ittner) and Clifford Wells. She was raised

by her mother, Beatrice, and stepfather, Harry Gromoll.

Judy attended Rock Island public schools, graduating from

Rock Island High School, Class of 1960. She retired from

the Rock Island Arsenal as a Personnel Staffing Specialist

in 2002 with 37 years of service. After retirement, she was

employed part-time at Coldwater Creek at NorthPark Mall

in Davenport, Iowa.

Judy (aka Jude and Aunt Judy) enjoyed many years

of bowling, golfing, traveling the world, and was an

accomplished needle pointer and basket weaver. She was

well-known for her love of dogs and constant companion,

Caffeine-free Diet Pepsi!

Judy is survived by her sister, Jill Hoff of Moline, Illinois;

brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Peggy Gromoll of

Moline; her nephew, Matthew (Carey) of Centerview,

Missouri; great-nephew, Ethan Hoff, and great-niece,

Kaylee Hoff of Centerview. She was preceded in

death by her parents.
