Judith A. "Judy" Anderson, 72, of Preemption, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Services for Judy will be 10 am, Wednesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Preemption Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Judy was born on March 25, 1942 to George and Virginia (Osborne) Meredith. She married Gale L. Anderson on June 9, 1962 in Matherville. Judy worked in the accounting department at Eagle Foods Distribution Center, Milan for over 30 years; retiring in 2005. She had been a member of the Sherrard Booster Club. Judy had been a Girl Scout Leader and had been named Girl Scout Leader of the Year in the Mississippi Valley. She enjoyed golf and watching NASCAR.

Survivors include her husband, Gale; children, Deanna (Richard) Matthews, Davenport, Mark (Crystal) Anderson, Matherville; grandchildren, Lindsay and Amanda Matthews, Walker, Holland, and Nadia Anderson; brother, Earl Meredith, East Moline.
