Judy Kay Moore, 83, Rock Island, IL passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at her home under the care of hospice, surrounded by family. There will be a private burial at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Judy was born on November 19, 1942 to Benjamin and Adeline (LeDuc) Davenport in Sioux Falls, SD. She graduated from Technical High School in Omaha, NE in 1961.

She attended Blackhawk College earning a CNA degree in 1983. Judy worked as a nursing assistant in home health for many years as well as custodial services.

She was known for her strong will and stubborn spirit, qualities that made her endure until the very end. She lived life on her own terms and loved her family in her own unique way.

Never one to sit still, Judy liked keeping busy. She enjoyed watching birds, embroidering, bowling, fishing and camping and was an avid WWE fan. She also loved spending time with her friends and family chatting over countless cups of coffee.

She was deeply loved and truly one of a kind. Her presence will be greatly missed, and the memories she leaves behind will be cherished forever.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, SFC Donald W. Moore of the U.S. Army; her parents, and two siblings.

She is survived by her children, Scott (Deborah) Bazer, Kenny (Mindy) Bazer, Debra Bazer, Judy Palmer, Lena Bazer, Leann Moore, and Tiffany (Paul) Fuller; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and siblings, Mary Steinman and William Davenport.
