Juliann Dowell, 55, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday April 28, 2016
at her home.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday from 1:00-3:00pm at
Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island.
She was born on January 1, 1961 in Alamosa, CO., the daughter of Alvin
Junior and Marlene Curry.
Juliann graduated from Sherrard High School in 1979. She pursued many
career directions including cosmetology, salon ownership and real estate
sales.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening and
more recently fell in love with making jewelry. Julie's ultimate joy
came from her 3 grandsons. They are left with many great memories of
jokes, silly songs and many stories from "the old days."
Those left to honor her memory include her children, Courtney(Steve)
Foster, Michael Willits (Amber Simmons), Jake Willits(Jessica Givens);
grandsons, Aiden, Tauren and Roman; brothers, Steve(Brenda) Curry and
Shawn (Marnita)Curry; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Patrick Curry and
half sister, Donna Poston.
