June C. Grindley, 79, of Rock Island passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island.

Services will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 6th at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left in care of the American Cancer Society.

June was born on March 1, 1942 in Rock Island, a daughter of Lester and Madelyn (Mount) Yarbrough. She married Edward Grindley on July 13, 1973 in Rock Island. She worked for many years at Walmart in Moline.

June's many hobbies included crocheting, reading, camping and most of all, spending time with her family. She was a member of the Rock Island Moose Lodge No. 190.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Edward; children, James (Candy) Wadkins, East Moline, Kathy (Tim Agy) Dekezel, Colona, Christine (Edwardo) Villarreal, Rock Island, Danny (Nellie) Wadkins Jr., Silvis; Cynthia (James) Brooks, Walnut, IL; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Eileen Schipper, Iris Yarbrough, Glenn Yarbrough and Sue (Jeff) Attwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
