June F. Whan, 63, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday,  June 4, 2016 at her home.

Graveside services will be 12:00 p.m. (noon) Wednesday, Juine 8th, at Preemption Cemetery, Preemption, IL, with burial following. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 8th, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Memorials may be made to UnityPoint Hospice.

June was born January 14, 1953 in Rock Island county, a daughter of Doris J. Hines. She married Steven M. Whan on May 10, 1991 in Rock Island.

June will be remembered as a wonderful wife and loving mother and grandmother. She had worked at Regalia, Steak and Shake, and also at the former Riverpark Health Care Center. She enjoyed sewing and cooking, and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Her Christmas cookies were always a special treat.

Surviving are her husband, Steven, of Rock Island; daughter, Shanna Hines, Silvis; grandchildren, Montarius Hines, East Moline and Isaiah Hines, Silvis; and numerous extended family, cousins, and friends.

June was preceded in death by her mother, grandparents, and special aunt, Carol Ann Cole.
