It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen R. Jones, who left us peacefully on June 14, 2025, at the age of 82. Karen was born on April 3, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of William and Betty (Hall) Taylor. Karen married Gary Jones on April 3, 1987, in Sheridan, WY. She was a cherished wife, a devoted mother, and a beloved friend to many. Karen had an undeniable zest for life, which was reflected in her love for playing cards and spending joyful moments at the casino with her husband. Her greatest delight came from the time she spent with family, where her warmth and laughter always filled the room. A passionate collector of hummingbirds, Karen found beauty in the small things, reminding us all to appreciate the wonders around us. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Kristi (Michael) Magana, Steven Garrison; stepchildren, Jennifer (Paul) Wiener, Julie (Jeff) Larson; grandchildren, Nikki, Dalton, Alayna, Evan, Jordan; great grandchildren, Mylee, Konor, Michaela, and Chloe; sister, Sally (Rickey Berry) Lewis; and many more loving family members. She was preceded by her parents, husband; grandson, Jared Larson; great-granddaughter, Georgia Garrison; and daughter-in-law, Tina Tighe.

Cremation rites have been accorded and per the family's wishes there will be no services at this time. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting the family.

As we remember Karen, let us carry forward her spirit of joy, love, and connection, cherishing the moments we shared and the lives she touched. May she rest in peace.
