Obituary

Karen S. Michael, 68, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday October 19, 2021 at her home.

A visitation to celebrate her life will be held from 5:00-8:00pm Tuesday October 26, 2021 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Memorials may be left to QC Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Karen was born on November 25, 1952 in Moline, the daughter of Gayne and Shirley (Walker) Robinson. She was a graduate of Orion High School.

She had been the co-owner of the QC Corporation for 30 years before pursuing her dream to sing professionally.

Karen was a avid collector of elephants and shiny things, specifically copper décor and big earrings. She had a passionate commitment to animal rescue and saved numerous animals in need. Karen never passed on a bargain and loved sifting through thrift stores and garage sales. She loved fast things, including boats, motorcycles and roller coasters.  Karen followed her dream to sing professionally, later in life and always said that she lived her life with the belief that you always have options and must always look for the silver lining.
