Karen L. Woods, 68, of Moline, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Services for Karen will be 11 am, Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Preemption Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial fund that will be established at a later date. Karen was born on July 3, 1949 in Rock Island, a daughter of Ralph and Lucille (Lawson) Coomes. She was a member of Friends Circle Club, Moline. Karen was a homemaker and a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed reading, John Wayne movies, and Mickey Mouse. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Survivors include her father, Ralph, Moline; children, George Woods, Wilton, Iowa, Christine (Mark) Wilson, Milan, and Heather (Mark) Johnson, Clive, Iowa; grandchildren, Nathan, Taylor, Chelsey, Brenon, and Garret; siblings, Diane (Craig) Askam, Rock Island, and David (Elaine) Coomes, Andover.
