Katherine "Kay" L. Walsh, 83, of Davenport, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Senior Star, Davenport. Private graveside services will be Thursday at the Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.  Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island is assisting with the services. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

Kay was born on March 15, 1939 in Rock Island, a daughter of Charles and Bessie (Ulm) Walsh. She graduated from Marycrest College, Davenport. After her graduation, Kay went to work at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, Los Angeles. She later became the director of the clinical laboratory retiring in 2015.

Kay enjoyed Community Theater and was a member of the Kentwood Players Theater in Los Angeles. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of SCCA Valley Sports Car Club.

Survivors include her special friends, Alice Kipp and Jo Cahill.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Durrant; and a nephew, Michael Durrant. Kay's friends would like to thank the staff of Senior Star and Genesis Hospice for all their care.
