Kathryn "Kathi" Marie Ashmore, 66, of Indianapolis, formerly of Rock Island, passed away on August 23, 2018.  Visitation will be from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m. in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island.  Memorials may be made in care of the Susan G. Komen.

Kathi was born on January 27, 1952 in Aledo, Ill., a daughter of Francis and Florence Marie McDonald.  She married Richard Ashmore on December 27, 1986 in Rock Island.

She was a member of the American Legion and the Steve Jeffris Fan Club. Kathi worked at the Border Lounge as a bartender in Rock Island and then as an event coordinator for Marian University, Indianapolis, for over 20 years.

Kathi is survived by her husband, Richard B. Ashmore, Indianapolis; children, Joseph R. Randall, Indianapolis, Tiffany M. Exline-Cox, Mexico Beach, Fla., Donna L. Blanche, Bettendorf, Ricky J. Ashmore, Indianapolis and Charles L. Ashmore, Coal Valley; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and sister, Victoria "Vicki" Knittle, Moline.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Edward McDonald.
