Kathryn L. "Susie" Mayers, 72, of Davenport, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Manor Care, Davenport. Services for Susie will be 11 am, Monday at Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island is assisting the family.

Susie was born on March 28, 1943 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Alvin and Margaret Edwards Westmoreland. She married John Mayers in Rock Island. He preceded her death on December 12, 1986. She had previously worked for United Guarantee Mortgage Co., Bettendorf. She volunteered at the Rock Island County and Scott County Jails in Christian Ministries. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island.

Survivors include her sons, Martin Mayers, East Moline, and Michael Mayers, East Moline; brother, Glen Westmoreland, Louisiana; sisters, Mary Larson, San Ramon, California, and Cheri Westmoreland, Davenport.
