Kaw Ro, 37, of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at his home.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 9:00a.m. to 10:00a.m. at the Knox Chapel of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 2106 7th Ave Rock Island IL, 61201 , with the funeral to immediately follow.

Kaw was born on September 4, 1986, in Burma (Myanmar), the son of Kyaw Ro and Paw Day. He made his living as a chef for several different Thai restaurants in the Quad Cities area. He was a member of Karen Baptist Church in Rock Island.

In his younger years as a refugee in Thailand, Kaw loved playing soccer and caneball. He was also an outstanding guitar player, having even released an album with his band in Thailand. Kaw was a professional chef and had a passion for cooking. He loved his two girls with all his heart.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; daughters, Jenny and Tryphena; and siblings, Sander Annai and Kpru Moo Soe.
