Kedric Roper, 50, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of the Quad Cities, passed away Monday April 20, 2026 in Arizona.Services will be 11:00AM Tuesday May 5, 2026 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 10:00AM to service time to service time at the funeral home. Kedric was born on November 4, 1975 in Rock Island, the son of George Johnson and Pauline Roper. He graduated from Rock Island High School in 1993 and later earned his associates degree in Business.Mr. Roper had been employed as a supervisor at a Phoenix call center. Kedric loved spending time with his family and friends, riding his motorcycles, dancing, fishing, and cookouts. He was a avid San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Lakers and St Louis Cardinals fan. Kedric was adventurous and always was the life of the party. Survivors include his fiancé, Marlena Porter; children, Kedriana Roper, Teja Roper, Kedric “KJ” Roper Jr., Jaleon Luten, Draeven Roper; honorary children, Xavier, Vittoria and Isaac Potenzo; grandchildren, Kaeliana Newell, Kevin Newell Jr., Kaisley Mallek, Evana Boyston, Kendra Roper, Kiomi Roper and one on the way; siblings, Lakesha (Jason Sr.) Roper-Johnson, Demetric Pugh, Tommy Quinn, Darrell Larmontt Quinn Sr., Laurence Nimmers, Ivory Butler; special friend, John Carr; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Johnson and Pauline Roper; grandparents, Bernice Conner-Hall and Paul Roper.
