Keith Albert Schmidt, 74, of Moline, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023, at Allure of the Quad Cities, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. The visitation will be held one-hour prior at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

Keith was born January 17, 1949, in Moline, to Raymond and Rosetta (Mier) Schmidt. He married Elizabeth Reynolds on April 11, 1970, in Rock Island. She preceded him in death on March 17, 2022.

Keith was a regional salesman at Plant Equipment for 50 plus years, retiring in 2021. He attended Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island as well as Buffalo Prairie Community Church, Buffalo Prairie. He loved karaoke, country music, and playing chess. Keith was loved by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister-in-law, Mary Ann Schmidt; brothers-in-law, Bill Armstrong and Harvey Petty; many nieces and nephews; and many great friends.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and siblings, Glen, Loretta, Lyle, Irene, Kenneth.
