Kenneth W. Cross, 73, of Rock Island, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at his daughter's home in Blue Grass, Iowa.  Funeral services for Kenneth will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the Knox Chapel of Wheelan Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 2106 7th Ave., Rock Island.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Chapel.  Burial will follow services in Drury Reynolds Cemetery.  Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Kenneth was born on June 27, 1943 in Muscatine, Iowa, a son of Cook and Lillian Weikert Cross.  He married Lieuzetta Bennett on December 30, 1967.  She passed away in 2003.  Kenneth worked at John Deere Harvester for 43 years.  He had last worked as a Lift Truck Operator.  Kenneth loved Hot Rods, especially mustangs.  He was a self proclaimed "shadetree mechanic" who loved working on cars.  He also enjoyed collecting die cast cars and going camping.  He loved spending time with his family, whom he cherished very much.

Kenneth is survived by his daughters, Kathleen (Nathan) Coghill, Blue Grass, Iowa and Karen (Matthew) Duyvejonck, Rock Island; grandchildren, Amanda (Jonathon) Knorr, Kayleigh (Byron) Blackwell, Anthony Duyvejonck, John Taylor Keiffer and Gage Coghill; four great grandchildren and brothers, Clarence, Ronald and Richard Cross.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lieuzetta; daughter, Lori; and brothers, Lawrence and Harold.
