Kenneth J. Earel, 89, of Rock Island, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Generations, Rock Island. Private services for Mr. Earel will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island, where the services will be live-streamed at www.wheelanpressly.com/live-stream-RockIsland. Private visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Kenneth was born on December 14, 1930 in Quincy, IL, a son of Richard and Effie (Mulch) Earel. He married Norma Schullian on December 28, 1950 in Quincy. She preceded him in death on October 10, 2020. Ken worked at Alcoa for 32 years retiring in 1990. He was a Boy Scout Leader, enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles and was an all-around repairperson.

Survivors include his children and spouses, Wanda and Glenn Shackelford, Moline, James and Vicky Earel, Moline, Richard and Karen Earel, Kansas City, MO., and Janice and Steve Hinton, Moline; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma; brothers, Melvin and Donald Earel.
