Kenneth Lee Horton, 80, of Sherrard, formerly of Rock Island, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2023, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Avenue, Milan. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Andalusia Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Milan American Legion.

Kenny was born March 7, 1942, in Rock Island, to William Henry and Eva Mae (Lovelett) Horton. He married Evelyn Iona Romine on July 26, 1962. She preceded him in death on June 15, 2021.

Kenny worked as a shift supervisor at XPAC. He was an avid fisherman and always found a lake or stream to fish in. Kenny loved playing his guitar and listening to country music. He also enjoyed woodworking. Kenny found great joy in traveling with his wife, Evelyn. They always took road trips and visited new places, including Branson, Wisconsin Dells, and Mt. Rushmore. Above all, Kenny cherished time spent with his grandchildren.

Those left to honor Kenny's memory include two daughters-in-law, Teresa Horton-Bumgarner and Jennifer Horton-Richardson; six grandchildren, Gina, Sarah, Allison, Brittany, Charles, and Nicholas; several great-grandchildren; and sisters, Carol Cain and Sandra Compton.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Kenneth and Charles Horton; and 5 siblings, Jack, Billy, Tommy, Betty, and Shirley.
