Kenneth R. Kennedy, 67, of Milan, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island. Inurnment services for Mr. Kennedy will be 10 am, Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the Rock Island National Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the Moline American Legion Post No. 246. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan is assisting the family. Those wishing to attend the inurnment services at the National Cemetery should meet at the funeral home at 9:15 am on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the family.

Ken was born on June 24, 1956, in Ottawa, Illinois, a son of Arthur and Jo Ann (Capsel) Kennedy. He married Faith Hott on July 19, 1986, in Ottawa. Ken worked as the executive chef at the Starved Rock Lodge in Utica, Illinois. Most recently he had worked as a cook at Maid-Rite in Milan. Ken was an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawks fan. He enjoyed playing volleyball, basketball, and softball in his early years. Ken was a proud U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Faith; sons, Kyle Kennedy, Milan, Aaron Kennedy, Milan, Kevin Kennedy, and a daughter, Jessica Kennedy; grandchildren, Kessler, Kaelynn, Kaleb, Kobe, Kage, as well as several other grandchildren; a sister, Connie (Randy) Rafferty, Fairbury, Illinois; brother, Rodney (Jody) Kennedy, Naplate, Illinois; and several other nieces and nephews; and best friend, Phil Lefler.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jennifer Kennedy; and a son, Michael Kennedy.
