Kenneth W. Mackey, 54, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 at his home. Services for Mr. Mackey will be 1 pm, Wednesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, 3030-7th Avenue, Rock Island. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 6 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.

Ken was born on November 27, 1959 in Marion, ILL., a son of Wendell Mackey and Virgie McKinny Mackey. He married Marion Berberich on August 14, 1981 in Rock Island. Ken had worked for the Isle of Capri Casino, Bettendorf. He was a member of the Gloria Dei Presbyterian Church, Rock Island. He enjoyed computers and model trains. Mr. Mackey was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Marion; children, Jami (Jerrod) Roessler, Rock Island, Tracey Mackey, Rock Island and Katie Mackey, Rock Island; sisters, Brenda Vann, Coal Valley, Mary Tanner, Rock Island, Lisa Lyons, Akron, Ohio and Missy Schmacht, Rock Island; a special family friend, Jessica Evans and her two children; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank his visiting nurses for all their kindness and care.
