Kenneth Larry "Pauky" Meeks, 70, of Rock Island, passed away Tuesday
April 28, 2015 at UPH-Trinity, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 10:00am Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral
Home, Milan. Visitation will be from 9:00am to service time. Burial will
be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the
Alzheimer's Association.
Kenneth was born on April 26, 1945 in Danville, IL, the son of Abe and
Ruth Clark Meeks. He married Verla French and later married Janet
Gale on July 27, 1990 in Milan.
Mr. Meeks had been a truck driver for 18 years with Sommerville Trucking,
retiring in 2008.
Kenneth enjoyed playing guitar, was a backyard mechanic and loved
spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Janet; children, Cheryl
Hadsall, L. Scott (Katy) Meeks, Teresa Meeks, Kenneth Meeks, Wendy (Jon)
Grunwald, Andrew (Brandi) Gale, Aaron (Amber) Gale; 10 grandchildren and
a sister, Nancy Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and a
grandson Christopher.
