Kenneth E. Walton Sr., 69, of Milan, received his wings on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Milan. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island, where military honors will be presented. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

Kenneth was born in Pike County, Ill. on August 28, 1945, a son of Russell and Thelma Eloise Walton. He married Linda Holcomb on Jan. 30, 1970 in Rock Island. She preceded him in death on June 17, 2010.

Kenneth served in the U.S. Navy in 1961 and then served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965. He drove a truck for the Illinois Oil Company for many years before working at Miller Container, where he retired in 2006.

Kenneth enjoyed collecting NASCAR, watching the weather channel and news, camping, playing the lottery and going to the casinos. He also enjoyed talking to neighbors, friends and postal clerks. Kenneth loved spending time with his family, his special friend, Patty and his dog, Rusty and cat, Felix.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, East Moline.

Survivors include his children (and spouses), Dawn (Bob) Orr, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Chris Howard and family, Australia, Sonja (Randy) Schoch, Kenneth Walton Jr. and JoAnne Scarsella, all of Milan, Olivia (Kevin) Morrow, Davenport and Keith (Kari) Walton, Cushing, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Cecelia Walton, Rock Island and Vickie (Donald) Stark, Dixon, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister, Brenda and nephew, Donnie.
