Kent Allen Rowe, 50, of Rock Island, formerly of Preemption,  passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 24, 2017, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 E. 4th Ave., Milan. Inurnment will be at Preemption Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Kent was born December 18, 1966 in Moline, IL, a son of Charles W. and M. Barbara Price Rowe. He grew up in Preemption, Illinois and attended Sherrard High School. He had lived in Arizona from 1993 to 2009, prior to returning to Illinois.

He worked at Midwest Metals in Davenport, Iowa for the last four years of his working career.  He was a talented metal worker , Precision Sheet Metal Fabricator, and experienced in flame and laser cutting.

Kent enjoyed any kind of adventure, NASCAR, NHRA and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and caring for his kitty cats. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered as a wonderful son, brother, and uncle.

Those left to cherish his memory are, his mother, M. Barbara Rowe, of Milan; sisters and brother, Robin M. Doran, Boone, IA, Tracy L. (Bob) Taylor, Rock Island, Tim R. (Pam) Rowe, Kimberly, ID, Dana J. (Rob) Byers, Decatur, IL, and Kendra L. Syler, Coal Valley, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

Kent was preceded in death by his father, and brother, Charles W. "Chucky" Rowe, Jr.
