Kerry L. Bratsch, 74, Milan, IL passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 at his home under the care of Hospice. There will be a graveside service with military honors at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the Rock Island location of Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory at 9:00 AM to travel in procession to the cemetery. Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.

Kerry was born on October 27, 1948 to Harold and Virginia Bratsch in Whitehall, IL. He grew up in Rock Island and graduated from Rock Island High School. Kerry enlisted in the Army in 1968 and was stationed in Vietnam where he earned several medals including the sharpshooter badge. He was honorably discharged in 1970 and returned to the Quad Cities where he made his home.

Kerry worked as a truck driver for K & R Delivery for over 30 years until his retirement.

He was a member of the Teamsters Union and the National Rifle Association. In his spare time, Kerry enjoyed tinkering with technology and even built several computers.

He is survived by his daughter, Katrina (Rick) Thomsen; grandchildren, Miranda, Livia and Quinn Thomsen; a brother and sister; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters.
