Kerry J. Dixon , 58, of Hampton, IL, passed away Tuesday February 22, 2022 at his home in Hampton.
Graveside Memorial services, with military honors presented by Moline American Legion, Post 246 will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 28, at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Those wishing to attend are to meet at 12:30 p.m. Monday, February 28, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, 3030 7th Ave., Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated later.
Kerry was born July 24, 1963 in Moline, Illinois. He married Debora K. Sellman in 1988 in Davenport, Iowa.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. Kerry was a member of United Steel Workers Local 105, Bettendorf and was employed for 25 years at Arconic, Riverside, Iowa.
Kerry enjoyed riding his Harley, playing video games, listening to music and watching football, especially the Chicago Bears. His favorite times were those spent with his family. Kerry will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all.
Surviving are his wife, Debora, of Hampton; daughters, Elizabeth (Christopher) DeHaven, Silvis, IL, and Sheena Elliott, Milan, IL; grandchildren, Avalene DeHaven, Kaylee York, Jaylin York, Alexa York and Alex York; great granddaughter, Lorelei Kespohl; brothers, Kelly (Cynthia) Dixon, Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, William (Jamie) McLaughlin, Rock Island, and Jimmy Molina, Davenport, Iowa; aunts, Linda Sheppard, Florida and Sharon (Del) Turnbough, Owensville, MO; mother-in-law, Barbara Sellmann, Moline, IL; father-in-law, Gordon Sellmann, Moline; sisters-in-law, Shari Swann, Milan, Connie Harris, Moline and Tammy (Terry) Nissan, Moline; and many nieces, nephews, and additional family.
Kerry was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lorene Wheeler; mother, Opal E. Wheeler; and uncles, Johnny Wheeler and Jerry Wheeler.
